We are very sorry that our Kickstarter campaign in June 2019 lasted for very a short period and that we could not make the campaign known enough.
Starting from October 1, 2019, we have launched the second (additional) crowdfunding campaign on the official website of R-Type Final 2. We will be delighted if you would support us.
Those who have already backed the Kickstarter campaign can also back the second crowdfunding campaign. Please note, however, that we will ship the reward separately for the Kickstarter campaign and the current (second) campaign so you'll be charged with the shipping fee twice.
If you'd like to add multiple pledges, please pledge separately for each reward. Please note that if you do so, you will have to pay the shipping fee for each of the rewards. The shipping charges include not just shipping fees, but also packing fees, customs duties, and other costs.
The custom duties associated with shipping the rewards are included in the shipping charges listed on the pledge.
The pledge amount includes Japan's consumption tax (which is similar to sales tax or VAT).
We are afraid you cannot change the reward by combining the sum of the pledge at the Kickstarter campaign in June and that of the ongoing crowdfunding campaign we are running on our official website.
When the date of shipment for the rewards is determined, we'll send an email to all eligible backers individually to the registered PayPal email address approximately 3 to 4 months before the date of shipment. Please follow the instructions specified in the email and contact us by two months before the date of shipment. (In the meantime, you will have enough time to think about which version (or versions) of the game you would like to receive.)
R-Type Final 2 comes with Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), and Korean all in one package, and you'll be able to switch the language to display.
Please note, however, the audio is available in Japanese and English only. So if you select the other language, it will be displayed as subtitles.
Yes, you can use a nickname for the name on the staff credit. We will ask you the name at a later date. Please note that you can only use upper case characters and numbers for your name on the staff credit. (Please note that if you use lower case letters, then we will change them to capital letters.)
The player will be able to change the moving speed of the ship.
I'm sorry about the speed of bullets. It is simply lack of adjustment. I would like to adjust the speed after thinking over whether to adjust the speed to be at least the fastest in the series or to make it faster by taking into account the fact the game will be designed for widescreen. (From Lead Game Designer)
Honestly, we did consider implementing multiplayer before starting the game planning. After the consideration, we decided not to go for it. It was because multiplayer would not work well with a checkpoint-based game, and I wanted to focus my energy on improving the system development and balance adjustment.
That said, we have received strong requests for multiplayer from many people, so we decided to reconsider the feasibility of multiplayer functions. At this moment I am not sure if it will turn out to be something you envisage, but I will do my best to enable you to play two-player at the same time. (From Lead Game Designer)
The direction for that point has been already determined. It will be different from R-Type Final.
You will be able to develop a new ship while playing with your favorite ship. (From Lead Game Designer)
You are right. When you are playing a shooter game, the ship is usually so small relative to the screen that you won't notice much difference even if you add visual customization on it.
I would like you to know, howerver, we will implement a system so that you can clearly see your favorite ship when you take off, clear the stage, or select a ship. Moreover, the system will enable you to show off your ship to the viewers when you create "Let's Play" videos. I promise that not only you but also other people will enjoy looking at your beloved partner ships. (From Lead Game Designer)
Even if the "development of 102 ships" were a dream that is unlikely to come true, we will still be able to introduce new ships. So, yes, We will incorporate ships that have not been included in the past R-Type games. (From Lead Game Designer)
YES, we will keep you updated with the production/ development progress every month on the official website of R-Type Final 2. Please stay tuned. (From Project Manager)
